Turkey Day

Trevor came to visit the weekend before Thanksgiving. Sydney tries to keep up with him....Keep tryin' kiddo!
Trevor's version of the squishy face
They loved to play with this "car". Trevor wanted to be like the baby & get inside.
The more active she gets, the more banged up she gets. Here's a purple knee from a dive off her rocking chair. I was right there sitting beside her, but she was so fast & determined that she was down before I could catch her. She was a bit stunned, but fine after a few kisses.
Syd making the squishy face to herself in the mirror before bath time.
Aunt Deb reading Sydney her books
We have a flashing Rudolph nose that found its way out while decorating for Christmas. We all took turns wearing it.

Even Syd, and she reall does like it despite the worried look in these pictures

Bonding time w/ Grandma Robbin

The table is set, just moments before the feast.

Sydney got her first taste of Grandma's mashed potatoes!
When we make her potatoes, they're not as creamy & not nearly as fun!

Squishy Face

Sydney's new thing is "smiling" for the camera. Jeff & I call it her squishy face (several examples below).

She also loves playing on the computer. Elmo's Potty Time is her fave.

This was Saturday morning hangin' out in bed.
Her favorite song is the Itsy Bitsy Spider. Sometimes she tries to do it along with you, like below.

Jeff & Syd making the Squishy Face to each other.
Jeff started crying he was laughing so hard. All you have to do is show Syd the camera & she starts making the face.

After Halloween I got out her outfit one last time. I just love these little wings. We got much better picts than on the 31st.

Striking her "sexy-fairy" pose.

"Hey, Mom! There's no candy in this bucket!!" Sandy, Syd's physical therapist, told us it was okay to have some shoes with harder bottoms than Robeez. We tried these new ones on her & they were an instant hit. She just kept clapping them together. They're the heaviest things she's ever had on her feet, so she kept flinging them around.
More squishy face w/ Daddy

She also throws her head back when she's "smiling". Its such a crack up.

She's trying so hard to crawl. We call her the inch-worm because she rocks & pulls herself across the floor. Only non-traditional toys are motivation for her. It was just cell phones & keys, but now Jeff's work ID is a new fave.

Halloween 2006

You can tell from the picts that Sydney was so exhausted by the time we got out that she wasn't very into it. She's had a bit of a caugh & runny nose, but no fever. And, she's not really into the whole Daylight Savings Time thing. She still thinks is 7:30 pm when its 6:30 pm. I think we'll dress her up again this weekend & try to take some better pictures. She did have her first Goldfish cracker last night, and she loves them!
