Come on, Bring your green hat!

Kiss The Baby

Yesterday morning when I was getting ready I sat Syd on our bed w/ some random toys to keep her entertained. This mirror was in our car so I can see her when driving...but is not working so I took it down. Anyway, she LOVED it & kept "kissing" the baby in the mirror. Actually, she may have been trying to eat the baby, but its cute nonetheless.

Fall is here, so its gotten a little chilly in the AM. Jeff thought this hat was so darling because its like the ones we put on her when she was an infant. I think she looks a little like an elf w/ the matching booties & all.

Haircut night, sleepy girl, Grandpa Chris, Trevor's doggie ride

On Wednesday night Jackie & Maddie and Kenna & Grant came over. We all get our hair done by the same lady, Mindi, and she's nice enough to come to our house so we don't have to pay the expensive salon prices. Its also a great opportunity to have a play-date for the kiddos. The daddy's usually get together & play poker while we're gettin' all styled up.

Sydney shared her Jumparoo with Maddie & she LOVED it! Sydney was pretty much just interested in grabbing the camera. Its hard to get a picture of her nowadays when she's not grabbing for the camera. Here is Kenna's prince charming, Grant, at 5 weeks old. Sydney falls asleep nearly everyday on the way home from Diane's. Jeff doesn't always get to snuggle like I do, so he's taking advantage of it here.We got together with Grandpa Chris & Granny on Friday night to wish him good luck w/the bone marrow transplant. Syd is showing off her two bottom teeth (aka-"razors") to her Grandpa.Looks like they're singing a duet! Chris is belting the low note, and Syd is reaching for that high one!
Cutie Pie Trevor in his PJ's.
Jeff thought it would be a good idea to let him ride on Sierra.
Sierra did not agree with this plan.

Nana

Rita Johnson, Jeff's Nana, passed away this evening. Here is a picture of when Sydney first met her Great-Nana in March. The past few months were hard on Nana, and the whole family-especially her 3 children. We are glad that she has gone to be at peace with her Maker. We will be in St Louis celebrating her life and spending time with the family she nurtured so lovingly.

We love you, Nana!

KC Renaissance Festival

We went to the Renaissance Festival today. Last year when I was preggers we saw these little fairy wings that some of the babies & bigger girls were wearing around. We thought they were so adorable that we've been waiting this whole time to get some from our little one! Sydney's going to be a fairy for Halloween, so here's a little preview:

Sydney's got her first tooth. Jeff noticed it last night while feeding her. She was doing the "baby bird" so he had a clear view into her mouth. I didn't believe him at first because she hasn't tried to bite me, hasn't been particularly cranky, and didn't do much drooling or chewing. But sure enough, there it was-on the bottom right. The bottom left one looks like it might break through soon also. Here is my feeble attempt to document the milestone. I'm pulling down on her bottom lip, trying to get her to look up at the camera w/out eating it & actually take a picture. (I don't recommend this!)

We sort of skipped her afternoon nap while we were there, but she did take a 15 min cat nap on my shoulder. She was exhausted when we came home, and she's happily taking a very late afternoon nap now. Its nearly 5 & we may need to wake her for dinner!
